Every Friday the Second Set features music associated with one or two particular stars of the jazz world.

Arguably, the two most remembered and sung and recorded Holiday songs we have are “White Christmas” and “Easter Parade” The same guy wrote them both: Irving Berlin.

Christmas is past for the time being, but Easter is on the way.  In our Second Set this Friday at the Longbranch  (3/25), we’re going to feature some of the songs composed by Irving Berlin.  “Easter Parade” will certainly be among them.  And–attention Betty Rogers–“Blue Skies.”

This is the last night the Salad Bar will dominate the dance floor for the first hour.  Suitable song titles are still solicited to fit that situation.
