Join the Eddie Piccard Quartet in the Longbranch Lounge for an evening of jazz music.

Every Friday the band plays a Second Set where we feature the works of particular musicians.  This Friday it will be Joe Williams and Count Basie.

Count Basie called him “The Number One Son.” 

Though he sang with many bands, Joe Williams hit his full stride when he appeared with Basie.  “Every Day I Have the Blues” was his first great hit.  Many more followed.  There is even an album with the wonderfully appropriate title “Count Basie Swings, Joe Williams Sings.”

This Friday in The Second Set we will feature some of the songs originally performed by Joe Williams.  We will also feature songs from the Count Basie Orchestra, probably including “Shiny Stockings” and “Lil Darlin.”  

We plan to have a swinging time.
