Everybody needs a mid-week break. It is absolutely good for the health and it promotes peace and tranquility on the other days.
So here’s your chance. The Eddie Piccard Trio–Eddie on piano and vocals, Craig Dove on bass, Rich Martin on vibes–will be playing at The Bohemian (1029 Third Street SE, Cedar Rapids) on October 6, November 3, and December 1. Those are all Wednesday nights. Mid-week!! We play 7:00-9:00 and we would like to see you there.
We played at The Bohemian on Wednesday, September 1st. It’s hard to name one high point from that night but we had an especially good time with “Some Day You’ll Be Sorry.” Then again there was Nat King Cole’s “Route 66″ and, by request, the beautiful ballad “Early Autumn.” And, yes, Georgia was on Eddie’s mind.
The Bohemian has a wine cellar, an atrium, a French salon, along with its main floor café. It features many pieces of art collected by the owners, including photographs and posters from the jazz and blues worlds. The band played in the main café, a small, cozy room with good eats and a comfortable atmosphere.
