SUMMARY:Eddie Piccard Quartet at Opus Cafe
DESCRIPTION:The Opus Cafe is a great venue for jazz and we are excited that the quartet is going to play November 4th as part of the First Friday Jazz Series.   Doors at Opus open at 4:30 p.m. with live music from 5-7 p.m. Admission is $12. If you can’t be there in person\, the first set of each performance of the series is broadcast live on KCCK. The Opus Concert Cafe is operated by Orchestra Iowa. \nFirst Friday concerts are sponsored by KCCK and feature an eclectic mix of jazz\, Latin and contemporary music the first Friday of every month. \nThanks to KCCK for bringing live jazz to Cedar Rapids.

DESCRIPTION:  \nEddie Piccard is rolling on the river. \nThe Eddie Piccard Trio–featuring Dave Richter on guitar and Gary Palmer on bass–will be on board The Queen of the Mississippi Sunday\, Monday\, and Tuesday\, September 25 through September 27. \nThe Queen leaves St Louis on Sunday and passes through Hannibal\, Davenport and Dubuque.  The Trio gets off in Dubuque on Tuesday.  The boat goes on to Minneapolis.

DESCRIPTION:Big Night Coming! \nWe are excited to be part of this summer’s KCCK-sponsored Jazz Under the Stars series. \nPlace: McGrath Amphitheater in Cedar RapidsDate: August 25Time: 7:00 \n  \nPersonnel: Eddie Piccard\, piano and vocals; Rich Martin\, vibes; Dave Richter\, guitar; Craig Dove\, bass; Jon Wilson\, drums. \nSpecial feature; the opening act this night will be a new person on the Cedar Rapids jazz scene: 13 year-old Grant Lapointe.  Come early so you don’t miss him. \nOutdoor performances have been an important part of the jazz scene for many years.  For a couple of hours out under the sky music makes its own community. KCCK is doing something really valuable in carrying on that tradition here in Cedar Rapids. \nFood and refreshments will be available for purchase on site.
