DESCRIPTION:Last November we had a real frolic in the Mount Vernon First Street Community Center.  The Eddie Piccard Quintet was joined by the Busch Boys\, and we took a musical trip to New Orleans.  A great musical night! \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nAnd here’s what the cable programs call “Breaking News.”  We’re going to do it again.  The Busch Boys will join us in the Mount Vernon First Street Community Center April 29 for another round of Dixieland jazz.  Same personnel as last time. \nMore information will follow.  For now all you need to do is Save The Date April 29 and look forward to a good time.

DESCRIPTION:The Opus Cafe is a great venue for jazz and we are excited that the quartet is going to play November 4th as part of the First Friday Jazz Series.   Doors at Opus open at 4:30 p.m. with live music from 5-7 p.m. Admission is $12. If you can’t be there in person\, the first set of each performance of the series is broadcast live on KCCK. The Opus Concert Cafe is operated by Orchestra Iowa. \nFirst Friday concerts are sponsored by KCCK and feature an eclectic mix of jazz\, Latin and contemporary music the first Friday of every month. \nThanks to KCCK for bringing live jazz to Cedar Rapids.
